“I had three companies bid copper half round on a 1939 brick home. Rain Tamer was the only one who walked the roof first. The finished install is the best work that's been done on…”

The right drain for the actual water problem.
Downspout drains, surface drains, catch basins, and true French drains. We spec the correct system for how water actually moves on your lot.

Gutters only capture water off the roof — they still have to put it somewhere. We install downspout drains, surface drains, catch basins, and French drains of every size and profile. Not all drains are created equal. We spec the correct system to capture and disperse rain water in the most effective way for your property. A true French drain is a perforated pipe buried 24″ below ground and encased in gravel, meant to capture sub-surface ground water through the perforations as the trench fills up. In many cases that's not the right drain for Oklahoma — especially for water coming off your roof. For roof water we use solid PVC pipe (no perforations) buried 8–12″ below grade to carry water to the street or a designated area away from your home. The same solid pipe feeds catch basins — 6×6, 9×9, 12×12, 18×18, and 24×24 — that capture surface water and disperse it through a pop-up emitter or a cored curb outlet. Most jobs work by gravity, sloping the pipe underground. In flat areas with no slope we install a pump basin to move the water out to the designated area.
The work is mostly invisible once it's done. These are the steps we take on every drains install, in this order, every time.

Drains, finished
We assess the problem areas and check grade slope so the drain can run on gravity. Then we lay out the path — pipe, basins, outlets — and mark it on the ground.
The top layer of grass and soil is lifted and set aside. Trench is dug to depth and pitched for flow. PVC pipe, basins, and components go in; concrete is bored or cored where the water needs to daylight.
Grass is reinstalled, the drain is flow-tested with water, and the site is cleaned. Nothing goes back on top until we've watched it drain.
Most of our business comes from referrals and from neighbors who watched the install next door. Here's what they've written about us, in their own words.
We don't pay for reviews, we don't filter them, and we don't pick our favorites. Every quote on this page is from a real Rain Tamer customer.
“Crew showed up exactly when they said they would, finished a full house wrap and downspout reroute in one day, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The miter corners look like jewelry.”

“Our basement flooded twice in two springs. Rain Tamer mapped the lot grade, sized a French drain to actually move the water, and ran it to daylight at the back fence. Two storms…”

“Three big oaks behind the house meant cleaning gutters every six weeks. The micromesh guards have been on for a full season now and I haven't been on a ladder once.”
